Known for his decadent NYFW parties, we conceptualized and produced an after party to remember to close out designer Alexander Wang’s FW19 show. Inspired by the nightlife of Hong Kong’s Wan Chai bar district, the Lunar New Year soiree at the iconic Rainbow Room included fabricated Chinese-style bars, extravagant delicacies, alluring red fortune cookies and live music performances by Tommy Genesis and the legendary Trina. In Chinese culture it is customary to gift red envelopes filled with cash during the new year so we partnered with Cash App to give each guest their very own Hongbao, keeping the Big Trouble in Little Chinatown theme consistent throughout.
